I have the D200, and don’t know anything about those two,
But if there is anyway you can afford it, I would STRONGLY suggest the 18-200 VR lens with whichever camera you pick.

It goes from wide angle to a good zoom, without having to swap out lends, so you done; worry about dust on the sensor.

About $600, but worth it.
You will be very happy a few months down the road, that you spent the money.
