Feel free to carry on reading and browse more articles like the one below. We have exciting resources that were gathered by our experts in the subject.

Nikon, Inc., today introduced the new D60 digital SLR camera, which provides consumers with stunning picture quality and versatility in an easy-to-use, compact camera design. The D60 joins Nikon’s award-winning line of D-series digital SLR cameras and shares a form factor similar to the D40 – Nikon’s smallest D-SLR camera ever. With 10.2 effective megapixels and a wealth of innovative and user-friendly features, the D60 enables both photo enthusiasts and those new to digital SLR photography to capture extraordinary images like never before.

“The Nikon D60 makes stepping up to digital SLR photography easy for anyone, but is also a wonderful choice for photo enthusiasts looking for remarkable performance in a compact package,” said Edward Fasano, general manager for marketing, SLR System Products at Nikon, Inc. “This model, like the wildly popular Nikon D40, greatly simplifies use and builds confidence in the user. With a host of innovative features, such as a visually intuitive LCD information display, Nikon’s highly regarded EXPEED image processing concept, new dual dust reduction countermeasures, in-camera editing tools and exciting creative options, the D60 enhances the picture-taking experience for picture-takers of all skill levels.”

Users will immediately appreciate the D60’s fast 0.18-second start-up time and split-second shutter response, which combine to eliminate the frustration of shooting lag – a common issue with many point-and-shoot digital cameras. With a fast and accurate autofocus and the capability to shoot continuously at up to three pictures-per-second, the D60 faithfully captures pictures that other cameras often miss. The D60 does all this while delivering extraordinarily vivid and detailed pictures, ensuring that fleeting expressions, special moments and memorable events are captured beautifully.

Packaged with Nikon’s new AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR image stabilization lens, the D60 camera and lens outfit delivers striking image sharpness. What’s more, Nikon’s proprietary VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization technology also dramatically reduces blur caused when shooting handheld photos, especially in low light.

There are tutorials that will guide you on the step by step process, and there are articles that provide enriched information for your use. It is amazing how many people have actually learned much from this site. Feel free to browse the site... there is a lot of information waiting!

Valhalla, NY, February 22, 2007 – Entry-level just took on a whole new \r\nmeaning, as FUJIFILM U.S.A. Inc. today announced the launch of the \r\neight-MegaPixel FinePix A820 and nine-MegaPixel FinePix A900. Designed \r\nspecifically for the first-time digital camera buyer and consumers seeking an \r\ninexpensive, easy-to-operate upgrade to their current digital camera, Fujifilm\’s \r\nFinePix A820 and A900 are loaded with features usually reserved for more \r\nadvanced models. Both incorporate Fujifilm\’s signature Super CCD sensor \r\ntechnology, a 4x Optical Zoom lens and feature ISO levels of up to ISO 800.

\r\n\r\n

Following in the footsteps of Fujifilm\’s more advanced digital cameras, the \r\nFinePix A820 and A900 both shoot with light sensitivities of up to ISO 800 at \r\nfull resolution. These higher light sensitivities enable the user to shoot with \r\nfaster shutter speeds, which lessen the likelihood of blurry pictures caused by \r\na moving subject or the shake of an unsteady hand. To make it easy for consumers \r\nto reach blur-free results, the FinePix A820 and A900 feature a \’Picture \r\nStabilization\’ mode
in the dial setting. This easy-to-identify setting \r\nautomatically chooses the correct light sensitivity and best-matching shutter \r\nspeed, producing the highest quality digital photos without blur and the noise \r\noften associated with high sensitivity photographs.

\r\n

The FinePix A820 and A900 feature a new, intuitive icon-based Graphic User \r\nInterface (GUI). When users switch shooting modes, scene positions or control \r\nsettings, a brief explanation of the setting is momentarily displayed on the LCD \r\nscreen, taking much of the guess work out of digital camera operation. \r\nAdditionally, both cameras feature a conveniently placed mode dial that provides \r\nsimple access to the most commonly used shooting modes, including Auto, Picture \r\nStabilization and Movie mode and grants 1-touch access to other pre-programmed \r\nscene modes.

\r\n

The FinePix A820 and A900 also feature a \’xD/SD Media Compatible slot\’; a \r\nsingle slot that accepts not only Fujifilm\’s traditional xD-Picture Cards, but \r\nalso SecureDigital (SD) media cards. In offering these media options, Fujifilm \r\nis providing greater choice and flexibility to consumers who purchase Fujifilm \r\ndigital cameras.

\r\n

Fujifilm\’s new A-Series models also offer the following attractive features: \r\n

\r\n
    \r\n
  • IrSimple Technology: Demonstrating Fujifilm\’s commitment to innovation, \r\n\’IrSimple\’ enables mobile devices like the FinePix A820 and A900 to \r\ninstantly and wirelessly, connect and transmit digital images to other IrSimple \r\nenabled devices such as other digital cameras, PDAs and photo kiosks. It \r\nprovides a faster, more secure means to share photos with family and friends. \r\n
  • Fujinon lens: The FinePix A820 and A900 both feature a 4x optical zoom lens \r\nthat was developed specifically for the A-Series by Fujinon, a Fujifilm sister \r\ncompany and leading provider of broadcast-grade television lenses and other high \r\nquality optical products across many consumer and industrial applications. \r\n
  • Internal memory: When their xD-picture card or SD memory card (sold \r\nseparately) is filled with images, users have extra internal storage space on \r\neach camera to capture additional photos. \r\n
  • Big LCD: 2.5-inch LCD display with anti-glare properties. \r\n
  • Scene modes: A wide range of 16 pre-programmed scene modes provides \r\ntop-quality pics in a range of shooting conditions.
\r\n

The FinePix A820 and FinePix A900 will debut in Might 2007 with retail prices \r\nof $179.95 and $199.95, respectively.

\r\n\r\nNew A-Series Models Pack a Punch with 8 & 9-MP Super CCDs, 4x Optical Zoom and ISO 800\r\n\r\n

SANYO Xacti HD2 Offers Next-Generation Performance Upgrades Including a New 7.38-Megapixel Sensor, Up to 76% Greater Low-Light Sensitivity and an HDMI Digital Interface\n\nLAS VEGAS, January 8, 2007, CES Central Hall Booth #11017 – Packed with performance upgrades including a new 7.38-megapixel CCD image sensor that dramatically improves low-light sensitivity, the new SANYO Xacti HD2 is the world’s smallest and lightest high-definition digital video camera* and the highly anticipated next-generation follow-up to 2006’s innovative and multi award-winning HD1 and HD1a series. \nThe SANYO Xacti HD2 combines the functionality of a 720p high-definition digital camcorder and 7.1-megapixel digital still camera into one ergonomic, pocket-sized device. For optimized performance, a new HDMI digital interface, built into the HD2’s multifunction docking station, provides an all-digital output to HDTVs and high-definition video recorders. Featuring a one-of-a-kind pistol-grip and thumb-operable design, the HD2 can record up to 21 minutes of high-definition video (or up to one hour of standard-definition video) per gigabyte of available memory on any standard SD or high-capacity SDHC card (memory cards sold separately). Using a single 8-gigabyte SDHC card, HD2 users can easily and spontaneously shoot nearly three hours of high-definition video, up to eight hours of standard-definition video or thousands of 7.1-megapixel digital still images.\n “The enormous worldwide demand for the high-definition HD1 series inspired and invigorated SANYO’s design team to significantly raise the performance bar on the HD2,” stated John Lamb, Senior Marketing Manager for SANYO Fisher Company’s Audio Video Division. “Increased low-light sensitivity is just one example of how the HD2 has been engineered to provide a more satisfying user experience than ever before.”\nSporting a stylish blue graphite body, the SANYO Xacti HD2 will be available in the U.S. in March 2007 at an MSRP of $699.99**. \nThe Xacti HD2 responds to light as low as 12.5 lux in auto mode. This represents an up to 75% increase in low-light sensitivity when compared to the 50 lux auto mode capability of the previous models, the HD1 and HD1a. The HD2 responds to light as low as 6 lux, in lamp mode, representing an up to 76% increase in low-light sensitivity when compared to the 25 lux ability of the HD1 and HD1a. The HD2 features a special “High Sensitivity” button, allowing users to swiftly switch from standard sensitivity mode and shoot in a wide variety of low-light situations. \nSuper-fast begin up\nThe Xacti HD2 high-definition video camera is designed for super fast start-up and shooting. With no tape to queue up, simply open the display and the HD2 automatically powers up and is ready to record in as little as 1.7 seconds. \nImage Stabilization\nThe SANYO Xacti HD2 features a digital image stabilization that works across the full shooting range from wide-angle to telephoto. Using an original corrective algorithm developed by SANYO, the HD2 is able to distinguish between “trembling hands” and “camera work” such as panning and tilting. \n1280 x 720 progressive HD video scanning \nThanks to highly efficient MPEG-4 technology, the HD2 is able to create richly detailed high-definition 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) videos at 30 frames per second. That’s up to three times more pixels than standard conventional video cameras. \nHigh-definition engine \n The SANYO Xacti HD2 is powered by high-precision LSI (large-scale integration) circuitry for advanced, high-definition image processing. This powerful “high-definition engine” processes a vast number of calculations and enables the HD2 to realize image processing functions such as high-definition 720p processing, real-time MPEG-4 compression and noise reduction. \nSuper-fast 9Mbs frame rate \nThe SANYO HD2 high-definition digital video camera features an accelerated frame rate in the HD mode that is more than four times faster than earlier digital cameras. Transmitting data at 9 megabits per seconds ensures that camera and subject motion are smooth and natural, without the image lag or distortion that might occur in slower-responding systems. \n10x optical zoom\n The HD2 features a generous and highly efficient 10x optical zoom lens. Built from 12 elements designed in 9 groups and with a built-in neutral density filter, the 10x zoom lens has a maximum aperture of f/3.5 in both wide and telephoto angles, allowing for clear images in lower light situations. Combined with a 10x digital zoom capability, the HD2 is capable of a total 100x zoom.\n2.2-inch LCD display\n The HD2 features a huge Sanyo-developed 2.2-inch LCD display with 210,000 total pixels for exceptionally clear viewing. The display flips out from the camera and rotates up to 285 degrees on axis for taking great video or still images even in difficult locations. \nDigital video and stills, all in one \n The HD2 can record 7.1-megapixel still images in addition to 720p video clips. It can even snap a still image while recording high-definition (1280 x 720-pixel) digital video with a easy press of the shutter button during the shooting of a video clip.***\nVideo recording optimized for personal media players \n The HD2’s “Web-SHQ” recording mode is designed specifically to capture video destined for video iPod and other popular MPEG-4 capable personal media players. For optimal playback on such devices, video is captured at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a smooth and natural 30 frames per second.\n16:9 still shooting\n A selectable 16:9 shooting mode allows users to capture stills in the same widescreen format as their high-definition videos for eye-catching viewing on a 16:9 TV screen.\nConvenient in-camera video editing\n The HD2 offers enhanced video editing functions, enabling quick A>B deletions and easy combining of video clips. In-camera editing makes it easy to remove unwanted material and helps conserve memory card space. \nVery small, very light\nLightweight at only 8.3 ounces (including battery and a standard SD memory card), the HD2 measures 3.1? W x 4.7? H x 1.4? D. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOther SANYO Xacti HD2 features include:\n- 16:9 widescreen format (HD-SHQ / HD-HQ modes)\n- Rapid 7.1-megapixel sequential still shooting\n- High-quality 48 kHz, 16-bit, stereo AAC-LC sound (MPEG-4 Audio)\n- Convenient pop-up flash \n- HD/Norm switch for simple video mode changes\n- Speaking navigation guide for first-time users\n- Super Macro shooting down to 1 cm (W) / 1 m (T)\n- Self timer (2 seconds / 10 seconds)\n- Voice recorder function\n- Red-eye reduction mode\n- Multifunction compact docking/charging station with HDMI, Component, S-Video/AV output\n- High-capacity SANYO rechargeable Lithium-ion battery\n- Remote control included\n- Exif Print and Print Image Matching III\n- PictBridge-capable for PC-Free printing with PictBridge-compatible printers\n\nSANYO Xacti HD2 optional accessories include:\n- NEW Belt-clip Holster Case (VCP-HCX1) $19.99**\n- 0.6x Wide-angle Lens Adapter (VCP-L06WU) $99.99**\n- 1.4x Telephoto Lens Adapter (VCP-L14TU) $99.99**\n- 49mm Lens Filter Adapter (VCP-AL49) $17.99**\n- L40 Battery Charging Cradle (VAR-L40U) $39.99**\n- Original SANYO L40 Battery (DB-L40AU) $49.99**\n\n\n\nSANYO Electric Co., Ltd. is a $20 billion manufacturer and distributor of consumer and commercial electronics, including multimedia and telecommunication products. fujifilm – FUJIFILM Announces Three New FinePix Digital Cameras along with Storage Solutions On the Eve of the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show

LAS VEGAS –(Business Wire)– Jan. 4, 2007 A compact, 8-MegaPixel digital camera \nwith Face Detection Technology, two entry-level models with Fujifilm\’s famed \nSuper CCD sensor and consumer storage solutions highlight the announcements made \ntoday by FUJIFILM U.S.A, Inc. Fujifilm will be showcasing the cameras – the \n8-MegaPixel FinePix F40fd with Fujifilm\’s Face Detection Technology, and the \n8-MegaPixel FinePix A800 and 6-MegaPixel A610 in meeting rooms N115 and N116 in \nthe Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center throughout the show. \n

All-in-One Compact Showcases Face Detection \n

Combining unequalled performance and ease of use, the FinePix F40fd is a \ncompact, highly portable and stylish digital camera. It\’s packed with features \nthat make it easy for new photographers to get great pictures, and experienced \ndigital camera buffs will love the advanced photographic abilities that \nresult in exceptional performance. These include Face Detection Technology by \nFujifilm, a hardware based system using Fujifilm\’s proprietary dedicated LSI \nchip, which can detect up to 10 human faces in a scene in as little as 5/100\’s \nof a second, and Dual Shot Mode, a convenient function that takes two shots in \nrapid succession, one with flash and one without, letting the user decide on the \nideal picture. \n

Life doesn\’t give too many second chances, and a group pic can be tough to \ncapture. Now, the FinePix F40fd features Face Detection Technology by Fujifilm \nthat makes it easy. It sets the correct focus and exposure automatically, \nregardless of where subjects are located within the frame. Face Detection \nTechnology can even perform flawlessly in difficult focusing and lighting \nconditions, such as off-center subject faces, low light situations, and even \nbacklit conditions. Fujifilm\’s Face Detection Technology also enhances playback \nfunctions with the ability to zoom in on each detected face automatically. Now \nusers can check to make sure everyone\’s eyes were open and they are smiling, crop \nimages for the perfect portrait and perform a variety of other functions to make \nsharing more fun. \n

Frequently, photos taken in evening environments, birthday celebrations or any \ndim-lit situation can create problems for some digital cameras. The FinePix \nF40fd allows users to effortlessly capture the moment as their eye sees it, with \ntremendous clarity and low noise, using Fujifilm\’s Real Photo technology. Thanks \nto the 6th generation FinePix Super CCD-HR chip and the RP processor, the \nFinePix F40fd can utilize ISO settings of up to 2000, capturing stunning images \neven in low light while preserving the natural color and clarity of the shot. \n

To make it easy for consumers to accomplish blur-free results, the FinePix F40fd \nalso features Fujifilm\’s \’Picture Stabilization\’ mode. Not only does Picture \nStabilization reduce the \’blur\’ effect from the photographer\’s hand-shake, it \nalso adjusts for subject movement, and compensates for low light shooting, \nmaking it a comprehensive solution to prevent blurry pics. This \neasy-to-identify, automatic setting lets the FinePix F40fd select the correct \nlight sensitivity and shutter speed for the highest quality digital pictures, \nwith sharp, clean and clear results. \n

At times using a flash may be necessary to help secure sufficient lighting and \nimage quality. This is when the FinePix F40fd\’s Intelligent-Flash system, or \n\’i-Flash\’ comes into play. i-Flash detects subtle lighting differences within a \nscene, and then varies the flash intensity accordingly. It also leverages the \nhigh sensitivity of FinePix cameras to enable the camera to use less flash, \npreventing that \’blasted with light\’ effect that so many digital camera flashes \nleave you with. The result is entertaining, natural tones with no flash \’wash-out\’. \n

The FinePix F40fd will debut in March 2007 at a retail price of $299. \n

Entry-Level Debuts 8-MegaPixel Super CCD and ISO 800 \n

The FinePix A800 is the first model in Fujifilm\’s A-Series line-up to sport \nan eight-MegaPixel Super CCD Sensor and the first to incorporate light \nsensitivities of up to ISO 800 at full resolution. Borrowing a page from \nFujifilm\’s more advanced camera models, the FinePix A800 shoots at higher light \nsensitivities with less noise than comparative models. This results higher \nquality \’natural light\’ pics and less blur in images as the FinePix A800 \nmatches these higher light sensitivities with faster shutter speeds. \n

Fujifilm\’s A-Series digital cameras are among its most popular models and the \n6-MegaPixel FinePix A610 should help continue this trend. This camera has the \nsame comfortable design as the FinePix A800 and is priced right for the \nfirst-time digital buyer. \n

The FinePix A610 and FinePix A800 will debut in March 2007 with retail prices \nof $129 and $179, respectively. \n

The FinePix F40fd, A800 and A610 will feature an xD-Picture Card / SD Media \nCard compatible slot. \n

Fujifilm Addresses Issues of Backup & Storage of Digital Content \n

Fujifilm will also be displaying optical disc products as well as information \non one-of-a-kind optical disc advances created using the company\’s 70 years of \nphotosentive chemical experience and thin-film coating manufacturing capabilities. \nThe products and technologies will help advance optical solutions for managing \nthe growing amount of data building from digital pics, entertainment downloads \nand personal files. Fujifilm has pioneered breakthrough coating technologies \nsuch as the Fujifilm OXOLIFE oxonol-based dye, metal-free DVD dye that helped \nDVDs break performance barriers while also providing a more environmentally \nfriendly manufacturing solution to the industry. \n

On display at CES will be Fujifilm\’s full line of DVD and CD products, as \nwell as samples of Fujifilm\’s high capacity Blu-ray and HD DVD disc media. \nFujifilm will also have on display a new disc labeling system announced in Japan \nand Europe called \’LabelFlash,\’ which utilizes enhanced firmware and the \nexisting DVD recording laser to \’etch\’ an image into specially formulated \nFujifilm dye on the \’label side\’ of a standard blank disc. This process \neliminates the need for special disc printers or sticky labels for archived DVD \ncontent. \n

Additionally, Rich Gadomski, VP of Marketing for Recording Media at Fujifilm \nwill sit on a Fujifilm sponsored roundtable at Storage Visions 2007 (concurrent \nwith CES) moderated by Lee Gomes of The Wall Street Journal, \’Digital Storage \nfor the Content Value Chain: What sort of Business is this?\’ This high level \nexecutive panel will feature industry leaders discussing digital storage \nchallenges and opportunities for creation, distribution and reception of \nentertainment and personal content. The session will take place at the Flamingo \nHotel, Room B2 at 9:30 AM on January 7, 2006.

Canon Unites Imaging Expertise with Simplicity and Smart New Features So \nConsumers Can Expertly Capture Each Important Moment – with the Touch of a \nButton

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. –(Business Wire)– Jan. 5, 2007 (CES Booth #12606) \n- Canon recognizes that whether they are shooting a 50th anniversary celebration, \nbaby\’s first steps, or a trip around the world, camcorder users are looking to \ncapture the movement and visual images, resulting in memories that are inherent \nin every important life stage. To help anyone become an instant expert, Canon \nhas introduced three new models in its entry-level ZR series camcorders: the \nZR850, ZR830, and ZR800 Mini-DV Camcorders. \n

These camcorders provide powerful technology for capturing the most \noutstanding videos and photos with an array of smart new features that ensure \nthe easiest, most enjoyable user experience. In fact, as Canon has long been \nregarded as an expert in optical lens design and production, all ZR series \ncamcorders will feature 35x optical zoom – Canon\’s longest zoom ever. \n

\’For those users looking for a no-nonsense camcorder, Canon has a camcorder \nthat meets their needs,\’ states Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general \nmanager of the Consumer Imaging Group at Canon U.S.A., Inc. \’Not only do the \nCanon 2007 ZR series camcorders create astonishing images, but they\’re also \naffordable and simple to use.\’ \n

Canon\’s ZR camcorder line offers the best solution for consumers who might \njust be getting started with their first camcorder and are looking for the \nsimplest, most accessible device that delivers great results. The new ZR models \nfeature a joystick in the main panel display that makes it easier than ever to \nrecord, play back and navigate the menu options. The Simple Mode automatically \noptimizes most of the camcorder\’s settings, while the preset scene modes make it \neasy to shoot common scenes, including sunsets, fireworks, or a day at the \nbeach. \n

The 2.7 inch widescreen LCD (112,000 pixels) grants users to easily compose \nshots that can be shown on a widescreen Television. The new ZR series Mini-DV camcorders \nwill offer a .35 inch color viewfinder which allows users to view and record \nlive scenes in Widescreen HR (high resolution) with a 16:9 aspect ratio – the \nsame aspect ratio of today\’s popular widescreen television sets. \n

The new models are powered by Canon\’s DIGIC DV image processor. The DIGIC DV \ntechnology processes video information separately from pic information in \norder to always reproduce accurate, clear colors for both mediums. It also \ndynamically widens the range of colors in video and pics. \n

Go the Distance — Smoothly \n

The 2007 ZR series camcorders offer genuine Canon 35x optical zoom lens \n(1000x digital zoom), which is Canon\’s longest optical zoom on a camcorder to \ndate. Sophisticated yet easy to use, Canon\’s Smooth Zoom feature actually \nreduces the erratic, jerky zoom techniques that plague some users of long zooms, \nsmoothing out the process by selecting from one of three pre-set zoom speeds. \nFor even smoother video, Canon Image Stabilization helps provide a shake free \nimage for the entire focal length. \n

Because the right features can help any user compose shots like a Hollywood \ndirector, Canon has incorporated a level marker and added a new grid marker to \nthe easy mode feature mix. When engaged, the markers appear – in either white or \ngray – superimposed over the image on the camcorder\’s display. The level marker \nappears as a horizon line to easily let the user know if the camera is being \nkept level, while the grid marker effectively divides the image into nine equal \nrectangular segments, making it easier for the user to compose a more appealing \nand effective shot. \n

Never Miss a Moment \n

This year, Canon introduces the Swift Begin feature, which grants the \ncamcorder to be ready at a moments notice. The Quick Start mode (available on \nthe ZR850 and ZR830 Mini-DV camcorders) provides an substitute to the standard \nlimited \’on/off\’ option and lets users put the camcorder on \’standby\’ between \nshots. Once on standby, users can resume shooting swiftly – in less than one \nsecond – meaning no more missing the first moments of the school play while the \ncamcorder warms up. \n

Swift Start\’s \’standby\’ capability also means that the camcorder does not \nwaste battery power by repeatedly turning on and off. Canon ZR Mini-DV \ncamcorders can remain in Swift Start mode for 30 minutes before automatically \nshutting off. \n

The Canon ZR800 Mini-DV Camcorder also offers a microphone terminal, allowing \nusers the added flexibility of plugging in an external microphone. \n

The Canon ZR850 Mini-DV Camcorder provides a built-in Video Light to help \nensure that users do not miss a thing, even when the natural lighting is less \nthan best. It also offers a 1.07 megapixel CCD Image Sensor to be sure that all \nstill and moving images captured are of a higher quality. \n

You Can Take It With You \n

The ZR850 and ZR830 Mini-DV Camcorders each record still images, and feature \nPictBridge technology, which make it a snap to distribute prints by allowing the \nZR camcorder to connect directly to any PictBridge compatible printer. For \nportable storage versatility, the camcorders can accommodate either a Secure \nDigital (SD) Memory Card or a MultiMedia Card. The ZR850 and ZR830 Mini-DV \nCamcorders are High Capacity \’HC\’ compatible, which grants them to use the \nnewest high capacity cards that can store more than two gigabytes of data. They \nalso feature wireless remote and a USB port. \n

Sleek Styling, Comfortable Cost \n

All structured with Canon\’s sleek designs, the new ZR series camcorders are \nsimple on the eyes and easy to hold in the hand. The ZR series camcorders come in \nthree colors-the ZR850, Pearl Black; the ZR830, Dark Gray; the ZR800, Deep Blue. \nThey also are lightweight and compact, making them easy to grab on the go. Even \nwith the 35x optical zoom lens, each of the three ZR model camcorders weigh less \nthan one pound. All models have built-in lens covers so that there\’s no \nintruding, dangling lens cap. \n

Canon\’s three new ZR series Mini-DV camcorders will be available in late \nJanuary. The estimated selling price for the ZR850, ZR830, and ZR800 Mini-DV \nCamcorders are $329, $299 and $279, respectively*.

Digital Images Printed for the Holidays

Many people want to know more about the subject. Are you one of them? If so, you might find the following article helpful in your search for information. We hope you find some useful pointers.
Deck the Halls with Printed Pics This Holiday Season

\r\n

Kodak Survey Says Recipients Treasure and Save Personalized Photo Gifts; Like Gifts from the Heart

\r\nROCHESTER, N.Y., Nov. 16 — As people look for the perfect holiday card to send and gift to give this season, it’s often the easy pic that touches people’s heart the most. More than half of consumers prefer receiving personalized photo greeting cards, with 84 percent saving those cards from family and friends, according to a survey conducted by Eastman Kodak Company. Also, more than one-third of consumers consider a personalized pic calendar the ideal “gift from the heart.”\r\n\r\nRecipients treasure photographs because they create connections and preserve memories. More than 90 percent of people believe that sharing experiences through photographs helps them bond with others. A almost identical amount feel that it’s important to take photographs to remind their kids of their youth. This, combined with the fact that more than three-quarters of people wishing that they\’d pictures of family members from when they were younger, prove that photographs are truly the gift that keeps on giving.\r\n\r\n“Making printed pictures, cards and pic gifts part of your holiday plan this year will delight your friends and family,” stated Diane McCue, general manager of Paper and Output, Film and Photofinishing Systems Group and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “Personalized photo cards and gifts keep friends and families up-to-date and share your current adventures, major milestones, such as a new baby or wedding, or group gatherings. Digital printing allows you to add your personal creativity to your photos to create a gift that is uniquely you. It also creates a keepsake that recipients will save and treasure.”\r\n\r\nWith a variety of services in the market that use real KODAK paper, consumers can find an easy-to-use service that not only creates beautiful, high quality gifts and cards, but also fits into their busy lifestyles.\r\n\r\nTo create personalized cards and gifts, Kodak offers the following tips:\r\n

    \r\n
  1. Check the holiday post office schedule and determine how much time you\’ve to get cards and gifts mailed and what shape and size envelopes require additional postage. Visit www.usps.com and search for delivery schedules.
  2. \r\n

  3. Consider some of your favorite events this past year. Perhaps it was a family vacation or the introduction of a new member to the family. Choose a picture that captures that moment and build your holiday greeting card around that exciting time.
  4. \r\n

  5. Gather family photos from different events throughout the year and create a personalized calendar, highlighting birthdays, anniversaries, wedding and other special events. You can create multiple duplicates and give them to all family members to like throughout the upcoming year.
  6. \r\n

  7. Select a photo printing service that matches your lifestyle. If you run errands on the weekend, drop your film, existing prints, or digital camera memory card off at your local retailer and tap their in-store photo experts to create something while you shop. Or if you prefer to do things on the web, use a service like the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery (www.kodakgallery.com) to create your cards and personalized gifts. In some cases, you can upload pictures to your local drug store site, selected the gifts you’d like to create and pick them up in the store a few days later.
  8. \r\n

  9. Look for the Kodak logo, at the store, on the internet, and on your prints. KODAK prints provide rich detail, vibrant colors and the high quality that makes these cards and gifts keepsakes.
  10. \r\n
