SLR Digital Camera Tips 6-10

asked:

6. Using Automatic mode

Knowing when to use automatic mode is important to getting quality pictures. This is more or less the fully automatic mode of your camera, where it sets the aperture and shutter speed for you depending on what you’re shooting.

When looking at the P, A, S, and M settings, P stands for program mode. You may want to use an automatic setting when the scene changes rapidly, and you don’t have time to manually adjust your camera for the shot.

This might be in a busy city environment, or if your shooting something unpredictable, like wildlife or fast moving children.

7. Take Lots Of Photos- You Have A SLR Digital Camera!

This is one of the truly beautiful thing of having a SLR digital camera. Gone are the days when you needed to develop to see exactly how the picture turned out. I shoot like crazy, and I encourage you to do the same.

As a rule, when you shoot something, take 5 or 6 pictures of the exact same thing. That way, you can choose the one you like best and discard the rest. Don’t feel bad about throwing out the majority of the pictures you take, that’s what most good photographers do.  Make sure you’re using a good camera.  One of the ones I like to use best is the Rebel T3i from Canon.

Basic Digital Slr Photography – The Magic Of Macro Or Close-Up

asked:

Nature is packed full of wonderful art. Macro, or close-up, photography is one way of exposing your digital camera’s magical powers.

My introduction to macro photography came a few years back when I was on vacation in Georgia. Macro photography is taking pictures at about 1:1 magnification, or even closer.

I had purchased my initial digital camera, a 3-megapixel compact digital model.

And I was just getting to know the camera, playing around with settings and such. Since I had left my instruction manual somewhere (and who actually even scans those things anyway), I was having some frustration figuring out what the little icons were for on the dial.

One or the symbols was a little flower. I was clueless as to what that meant, but I ultimately figured it might have something to do with the flowers that were all around me, so I took a few photos of those. I attempted to get as near as possible so as to get the details of the beautiful flower petals.

Let me tell you, those images transformed my existence. I became intrigued with the idea of macro every thing. When I eventually moved up to a DSLR, the first add on lens I bought was a Macro lens.

Canon 85mm f 1.8 – Canon Portrait Lens Review

asked:

Is the Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM lens the best Canon portrait lens on the market?

You be the judge.

There are several features that qualify a lens as a portrait lens. That is what we will focus on in this review. So, before you spend your cash, make sure you consider the following.

Speed: this is where aperture comes in. At f/1.8, the lens is one of the faster lenses you can put on your Canon digital SLR. It is not just fast, this thing has after-burners. This is a huge advantage when shooting in lower light situations with the ability to maintain that fast shutter speed. Add in the USM feature, which stands for UltraSonic Motor, for super fast focus, and you will not believe how quickly your shots are recorded.

Focal Length: At 85mm it is right in the perfect range for portraits. If you are using one of the Canon APS-C sensor cameras, such as a Rebel or a 7D (or anything in between), you will have an effective focal length of about 135mm. This is the equivalent of a 35mm or full frame camera.

The Canon 100-400mm Lens – The Telephoto Lens Of Choice For Nature Photographers

asked:

Ever get jealous? I truly do, especially when talking about my camera equipment. Now i’m drooling about a Canon 100-400mm lens these days. The day after tomorrow, no one knows. Yet one thing is for certain, it will be something.

Although I seriously should declare that the Canon 100-400mm lens has been on my personal hit list for some time. I’ve got some very nice lenses, though. The truth is, I’ve got a Canon 70-200mm f4, that’s perhaps my very best lens.

Several of the reasons the Canon 100-400mm lens tops the list as my next acquisition:

1. The zoom range is exactly perfect for my needs. I photograph loads of bird photos, and right now I have to consider imaginative techniques for getting closer. The zoom to 400mm will be superior to the 200mm I currently have. Additionally, once you place this particular lens upon a camera having a APS-C image sensor, similar to a Digital rebel or perhaps 50D, you obtain 1.6x the declared focal length (680mm). Which is great.

2. It is deemed an L series lens. Which is Canon’s finest quality lens collection. You receive far better picture quality, much better design, as well as other folks looking and turning green with envy over your equipment (view the story below).

Buying your first Digital SLR Camera

Are you looking for information about the subject? Here in this blog, we will tackle the different aspects, fundamentals and other points of interest about the subject. Many readers and enthusiasts find that this blog is a great place to start if you are new to the subject.

We provide detailed resources like photos, articles, videos and links that may be of good use for those who want to make a more detailed study about it.

Idan asked:

If you are searching to learn more about digital photography, you’ve probably visited many photography related websites and blogs in order to find and learn more about digital photography equipment. For you photographers the first time finding information about cameras and lenses can be very frustrating. I remember searching to buy a new DSLR camera, and was reading many articles, reviews and form post in order to get an answer to the simple question “which digital SLR camera is the best for me”.

I was searching through reviews about digital cameras, especially interchangeable lenses cameras, also called SLR cameras, and I finally found lots of information in a blog called digital photography writer. I was searching to buy a new entry-level digital SLR camera for the first time. I was looking towards Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras, because I’ve heard many good reviews about those two companies, which are the leaders into DSLR field.

By comparing many entry-level digital cameras, I can to conclusion that I should invest most of my money in high optical quality interchangeable lenses, instead of a better camera body. This wasn’t so obvious to me, but after reading reviews about Nikon’s and Canon’s high optical quality interchangeable lenses, I can to conclusion that I can go wrong buying either Canon’s or Nikon cameras and lenses. Of course I have to choose between the two, and I’ve decided to buy the Nikon D40 entry-level DSLR camera to get started.

It can be very confused sometimes when you ask people to help you by your new digital SLR camera for the first time. Everyone that has a Canon camera will tell you that Canon cameras are the best, and photographers who use Nikon’s equipment will tell you that Nikon’s cameras and lenses are among the best there is. So if you ask me why I chose Nikon cameras and lenses, it just felt good in the hand. I went to photography store to hold the camera in my hand and he just felt better.

Of course you should take into consideration that you should by a camera that will fits your shooting habits. For example, if you want to shoot macro photography, you should probably buy a very good quality macro lens and a cheaper body. Both Nikon and Canon have amazing interchangeable macro lenses. But it is not all about lenses. You should consider also buying a flash for your camera in order to take better quality photos in low lighting conditions.

The most important thing is to decide on a budget and then see what photographic equipment fits into that budget. Digital DSLR cameras that costs more than your car, so you should be careful not to get too enthusiast about buying a first DSLR camera, because it can be very expensive at the end. For new photographers I recommend buying a cheap camera and invest in a good glass. Furthermore, I recommend reading reviews and articles and even form discussions in digital photography related sites. After that you will find that you have more knowledge and you can go and shop for your new and first entry level DSLR camera and other photography equipment and enjoy it for longtime.

Top 5 Tips For Using Your SLR Digital Camera

asked:

SLR Digital Camera Tips 1-5

1. Using Aperture

Basically aperture controls how much of the picture in your viewfinder will be in focus.  A high aperture means everything will be in focus, and this is usually used for landscape pictures.  If you want to highlight something in particular, go with a lower aperture.  This is ensure that the foreground will be in focus, while the background remains fuzzy.  No matter your SLR Digital Camera, there’s probably a manual setting that has the options P,S,A, and M.  The A option controls the aperture, and this is probably the most useful overide for the average user.

2. Landscape Composition

Whenever shooting landscapes, there’s a simple tip that will give your photos a more dramatic look and add depth.  It’s the rule of thirds.  Break your photo up into 3 parts in your mind.  Either 1/3 or 2/3 of the picture should make up the sky or the foreground, depending on where you want the focus of your shot.  Most beginners put the horizon at exactly 1/2 of the photo, which doesn’t have as much effect.

3. Shooting Extra-Sharp Images

This one’s pretty basic.  The key to shooting really sharp pictures with your SLR Digital Camera is keeping your camera steady.  Although most cameras these days have built in stabilizers, the majority of pictures still have a slight blur to them.  The only way to truly avoid this is by using a tripod.  Although not practical in all situations, this is the only true way to avoid blur.

4. Using ISO

The ISO setting on your camera determine the film speed.  Basically what this means is that the higher you set the ISO, the more light is let into the camera.  So when shooting in dark situations, the ISO can be increased to capture more light.  Unfortunately while it lets in more light, it also increase the noise in your pictures.  As a rule, keep the ISO as low as possible and only increase it slightly in dark situations.

5. Always Try To Shoot In Soft Light

Despite what you may think, the best time to shoot pictures is NOT in full daylight.  This actually causes overexposure washes out details, and can create unwated shadows.  The best time to shoot with your SLR Digital Camera is actually at dusk or dawn.  If you have to shoot during the day, make sure you do it from the side, not with the sun directly behind or in front of you.

Newest Released Canon Rebel – Canon T3i Review

asked:

If you are a photographer looking for an entry-level digital SLR, you waited just long enough!

Canon has answered your prayers with the Canon Rebel T3i. It is almost a year to the day after the T2i.

Canon releases a new Rebel about once every year or so.

Since you are in the market for a new camera, this is great news for you. Read on to find out what great things this new camera has to offer.

One thing it does not have is a new sensor, and this is something that has some folks wondering. History tells us that there should be a new and bigger sensor, since every Rebel released thus far has had a larger one. But don’t you think the 60D and 7D produce terrific images? Yes, and they both have this exact same sensor. This means that if you get a T3i, you are virtually guaranteed the same high quality images as those who are shooting with those more expensive DSLRs.

But wait, there’s more. Other stuff has not been upgraded. Here are the major ones:

18-MP CMOS sensor – not changed The DIGIC 4 processor is still the same. Kit lens – same 18-55mm lens ISO range from 100-6400 with expandable range to 12800 is the same as well. Video – unchanged from 1080P HD Continuous shooting rate – 3.7 frames per second, just like the T2i

Hold on! You must be wondering what is different, right? If all these things are the same, you should be able to save a few bucks and buy the T2i, right?

Canon Rebel T3 – Very best Beginner's DSLR?

We will take a look at the subject in the following article. It is a good place to start if you are new to the subject. There is a lot more information available for those that want to make a more detailed study.
Wayne Rasku asked:

So you’re ready and on the verge – set to initiate the jump directly into the Digital SLR camera universe of photography addicts. This could be the most significant decision involving your future photography way of life. Which is the best beginner’s DSLR for you?

If you happen to be one of the the vast majority that is going to make this choice, you are probably centering upon Nikon or Canon. That is not to say that right now there are not likely a number of fantastic dslrs made by Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, and the other camera companies. At this time there really are excellent choices aside from Nikon and Canon. And yet the real truth is just that these two producers command the entry-level Digital SLR industry.

However, why don’t we get perhaps even significantly more specific as compared to Canon/Nikon and narrow the arena to just the latest Canon model, the Canon Rebel 1100D T3.

You will get one of these digital cameras for just over $500, and whenever you think about the inflation of prices over the past few years, in this case, we are talking about a 50% decrease in total price for that beautiful new digital slr product. Contrast that to the inflated fee you are paying right now for just about anything else (hint – gas for your car or truck).

Other than value, just what is it which makes the Canon Rebel 1100D popular with completely new purchasers? Three items stick out when comparing to most of the compact cameras you may be using at the moment.

Three Ways The New User Benefits From A Canon Rebel 1100D

First and foremost is definitely picture quality. The APS-C image sensor inside these digital slr cameras is gi-normous compared to the image sensor within compact cameras. However, counting pixels is not the same as evaluating pixels. The volume of megapixels might be identical. For instance, the Rebel T3 (1100D) features a 12.2 mp sensor, which is precisely the same amount of pixels as a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS, a well liked point and shoot digital camera. However, when you compare the sensor size of the two cameras, the APS-C sensor from the 1100D is more than 300 square millimeters, but the SX20 is actually a tiny 30 square millimeters (numbers are rounded off to make the math simpler). With some common mathematics, an individual can easily see that the bigger sensor (APS-C) is 10 times larger.

Contemplate just how much more effective the light acquiring technology could be with that much extra area. Each pixel could be way more effective, thus giving superior picture quality.

The second advantage is Simplicity. Camera makers have built in most of the same options and modes in both types of cameras, the newer point and shoot models and beginner’s DSLRs, making the change-over quite simple. The Canon Rebel T3 is rather easy-to-use for new folks, but possibly the most helpful attribute of all in this respect may be the new “Feature Guide.” Any time you change to a completely new setting, the Feature Guide on the Live view panel describes what the feature does. This is really great for new users along with individuals that do not memorize the particular camera’s comprehensive field of settings.

3rd is Speed. One thing most new consumers recognize is how rapid their new Digital camera is in comparison to their former compact camera. For many people its virtually a religious high. People get giddy with photography glee. And this fulfillment lasts. Each time you press the shutter button, the camera acts with swiftness and precision; instant focus and powerful shutter speed.

Is there more good news about beginner’s DSLR? Oh Yes!

Might Canon Rebel D1100 (T3) the best beginner’s DSLR you can purchase? There is only one person who might make that choice.

Canon Rebel XS – A Perennial Favorite

asked:

The Canon XS is still strong in the Digital SLR market.

In fact that is a total understatement. The Canon Rebel XS is actually the number one selling Digital SLR at Amazon! This camera was first introduced in 2003 and it is still dominating the market.

What is it that keeps this entry level DSLR at the top of the heap?

The reasons are speculation because you would have to do an in depth research evaluation to get the real answer, and we are not in a position to perform such intense data research.

However, there are a bunch of comments at the online stores where we can read users’ opinions to find out what they thought about the product, and many will tell why they are happy with it.

Cheap 50mm Lens for Canon – Get One Cheap

asked:

Cheap 50mm Lens is a Great Find

Finding a good cheap 50mm lens for Canon DSLR cameras has been the quest of many a photographer. Make sure you read this entire article because you will be very excited at what you will discover.

A 50mm lens is practically a requirement for every single lens reflex camera owner. This is not a wives’ tale, it is the “old” industry standard. Truth is that with the advent of so many zoom lenses, a 50mm lens is not so much the norm any longer.

However, when you consider the quality of images that are produced with prime lenses verses zoom lenses, the prime lenses win almost every time.

Going out on a limb, I contend that every photographer should have a 50mm Canon lens in his or her bag. The reason is that Canon developed the engineering to a point of perfection.

It’s a logical conclusion when you really think about it. Changes in focal length that happen during the “zoom process” necessitate much more complex technology to deal with unwanted effects like barrel distortion or vignetting. That means the already great 50mm lenses just get better if there is a development in something like lens glass. No additional adjustments are needed, just plunk in the new glass.

Canon 50mm Lens Lineup

Right now there are actually 3 models of the 50mm Canon lens (well, 4 if you take into consideration the 50mm Canon macro).

Canon Portrait Lens On A Budget – Canon EF 85mm f1.8

asked:

I can’t help myself. I must tell you about the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens.

Canon lenses for my Canon Digital SLR? You have my attention! So, what happens when I come across one that attracts my “lens detector?” Well, I feel like I must have it. Unfortunately, I can’t always give in to my desires because the lenses are not cheap. I mean, let’s face it, my family really needs to come first, in spite of my intense desires. After all, I am a family guy, first and foremost.

Bottom line is that my photography hobby has financial limitations. I am not a pro, so I can’t use that as an excuse to buy the newest and best. So I keep looking. But every so often, there a Canon lens that is so compelling it can’t be overlooked.

For me, one of those “must have” lenses is the Canon 85mm f/1.8. It simply must be in my camera case (or on my Canon camera). This goes way beyond desire. It is one of the necessary truths of my photography existence. OK, I’m working toward breaking this to my wife, but this lens has capabilities so compelling that it “seems” like a necessity.

Monroe Vaughan asked:

Nikon has produced it is most recent mid-level digital camera. Your Nikon D7000 is basically upgrading towards Nikon d90, that is a tricky place to help load. The particular Nikon d90 continues to be, in addition to is still, an incredible video camera with regard to superior newbees in addition to advantages the same.

This kind of fresh relieve matches in the identical classification since the Cannon 7D so far as attributes have concerns. Both of them are not really entire shape electronic digital SLRs, nevertheless have lifted your club associated with “crop sensors” to be able to brand-new quantities.

Nikon as well as Rule are already duking against each other for decades today inside Digital world. Whenever a fresh discharge arises from a single, you are able to trust in another staying directly behind having a identical digicam. What About The Canon 60d Upgrade – Upgrade Or Hybrid?

asked:

The new Canon 60D upgrade to the 50D is in the shops, both in the brick and mortar outlets and in the online cyber-stores. Don’t you know that Canon would like to see the same success that the Canon Rebel T2i and the mid-range Canon 7D have enjoyed during this past year?

An even more pertinent question must be considered: Is the Canon 60D a real upgrade of the 50D like most Canon photographers were wishing for, or is it a cross of the 50D, the T2i and the 7D as a number of online review sites are saying?

It is not too hard to reply to that question when you think about the specifications as well as features of the modern Canon Dslr. But you must decide. Here are the facts.

There are actually a number of features in which the 60D has actually been downgraded from the 50D. One of those is the construction product for the digital camera body. It is now a polycarbonate (plastic) polymer bonded instead of the magnesium metal alloy materials in the 50D.

Another feature that has been degraded is the continuous picture rate. Whereas the 50D is capable of 6.3 fps, the new model can capture only 5.3 frames per second.

In the middle of the equation, there are several wonderful benefits in the brand new Canon 60D that have been inherited from the older siblings, the Rebel T2i and the 7D. One of those is the 18mp sensor. It is now a common feature in all three DSLR models at this point. This means that obtaining really great picture quality is a benefit of not merely the 60D, but also the T2i and the 7D.

You will also get top quality HD video media from all three models. Your 60D provides an edge in the stereo audio input because it has even more control in that feature.

The three finest features which can be found only in the Canon 60D are:

(1) A new articulating Live view screen (LCD screen) which makes it very easy to become a nearly professional videographer with this camera.

(2) Improved control of auto-ISO

(3) Enhanced control over audio input when in motion picture mode

When you look close, Canon’s 60D looks very much like some sort of hybrid. Supposition is that the other two models are performing so well that Canon administrators didn’t want to infringe upon their success. Certainly, the 7D has been a much more lucrative release as compared to many of the Canon DSLRs previously. If the 60D was a legitimate upgrade on the 50D, including a price tag at about the same level, there would be many buyers who would select the newer 60D digital camera instead of the 7D.

So, Canon decided to give some and take some. The Canon 60D upgrade (or perhaps hybrid) is really the perfect in-between camera within the Canon Digital lineup.

That being said, there is one group which may not be very pleased with this release. It’s is the group of 40D and 50D current owners. That is simply because they currently have a camera that is nearly as good as the new 60D (and in some cases.. as in camera build.. superior).

OK, the new Canon EOS 60D upgrade is ready for you. What will you do about it?

Dirt Cheap Entry Level DSLR – Canon XSi Or Nikon D3000?

The article below about the subject has received a lot of interest, more than any other on our site. We believe it's because it pulls no punches. Yet, while it's an important issue, it's not all doom and gloom, there is another point of view that some find quite unorthodox, but workable.

This article has proven to be very useful to our readers and they come back regularly to keep abreast of the latest developments. While the subject remains an important subject, it's always an added bonus when you can be enlightened, and even amused by being shown the other side of the issue. Some things are not always what they seem. Read on for more insight.

Wayne Rasku asked:

Canon and Nikon have been going head-to-head in competition for the least expensive (OK – cheap) DSLR since the release of the first Canon Digital Rebel 300D and the Nikon D40. Those two 6-megapixel cameras entered the DSLR market at just under $1000.

The trend to release less expensive DSLRs has continued with successive releases from both Canon and Nikon. Now we have two DSLRs with impressive credentials for under $600.

Which one to choose? The Canon Rebel XSi or the Nikon D3000?

I have bad news for you. There is no definitive winner in this comparison. But let’s consider the differences. You will then need to decide which technology feature will tip the scales for you.

Image Quality – It is a tie. Both cameras produce high quality prints, considered to be the best in the entry level DSLR category. Wayne Rasku asked:

Did you know that the lens is as important. if not more important, than the camera you are using? I use Canon models, so I am always on the lookout for the best Canon digital SLR lens that MY money can buy (I don’t have deep pockets).

When I started taking digital photos with my first Olympus 3-megapixel point and shoot camera, I became obsessed with nature pictures. I was especially taken with macro and bird photography.

So now, when you pair Canon digital slr lens with nature, you are talking about image quality in its finest form. For some types of photography like family pictures or street journalism, the sharpness and detail are not quite as important as with nature photos.

Canon Rebel T2i Holds Off Onslaught Of Expert Criticism

asked:

It is a great time to be in the market for a new digital SLR. There are many great cameras to choose from. In the midst of all the competition and claims from others, the Canon Rebel T2i has been a solid performer and continues to satisfy its users.

I have personally been involved in camera research and evaluation for a few years now, and it is interesting to compare the expert opinions with those who actually use the products. Sometimes they agree, in fact that is the case more often than not, but the reasons for their agreement do not always match up.

For instance, when you read the reviews of the experts, they always take a serious look at the technical details, such as pixel density, user definable auto ISO range, and number of “cross type AF points.” Techy mumbo-jumbo!

Canon 60D vs Canon Rebel T2i Review

asked:

It’s time for another DSLR shootout. This time it’s the Canon 60D vs Rebel T2i.

It is a bold move for the manufacturer to place a camera with the 60D name in a place that should have been filled with an upgrade to the Canon 50D. Since it is not an actual upgrade in the most technical sense.

It does, nevertheless, fit in that position when all features are considered. Engineers have been operating overtime throughout the past year, and it is plainly paying off “in spades” as the Canon T2i and the Canon 7D have done impressively well against all challengers.

It is quite interesting to look at the 60D vs T2i comparison. “Where does the added value come in?” you might inquire. Because the two cameras share the exact same 18mp sensor and body structure material. But there are a number of features/benefits valuable enough for a sizable increase in the price tag of the 60D.

Video is not one of those benefits that increases the value. And that is simply because the Rebel T2i has the exact same remarkable video quality. It just seems that Canon has plainly made it a goal to create the very best video possible in a DSLR. The fact that Canon has made it a priority to get high quality video into their DSLR cameras is exhibited in all three releases in the entry and semi-pro level cameras having the exact same video capabilities. The one thing that the 60D has in its favor is an improved capacity to control audio input during video capture.

Cheap Digital SLRs – Canon Rebel T3 VS Nikon D3100

Welcome to our website, which is devoted to the subject. Thousands of people search the internet looking for information about this every month. We have pulled all the best information together and put it under one roof.

We have separated the key issues and put them on their own pages to make them easier to access. You will find the posts highly informative, and while here, have a look at the comments as well. There are lots of great suggestions from our readers, in fact, share your own suggestions, we would love to hear them.

Before you do though, check out the article below: it is intelligently written and the author makes some insightful points.

Wayne Rasku asked:

The world is normal any time there is a Canon VS Nikon controversy. This one features two entry-level cameras, the Canon T3 or Nikon D3100.

The line in the dust is drawn. Which one is going to come out successful this time around?

Let’s look at the Nikon D3100 first.

The earliest one out of the gate in this specific situation was the Nikon D3100, upgraded from the previous D3000. To tell the truth, the Nikon D3000 failed to obtain the raving testimonials and adoring followers of its predecessor, the D40. The D40 had what could almost be considered a “cult” following. You will find people who are still saying that it’s the most impressive model from Nikon, despite its measly 6 MP image sensor and incredibly fundamental set of settings.

On the other hand, the more recent model is actually gaining exactly the same type of consumer gratification, therefore Nikon has done something right in the D3100 which it didn’t with the D3000.

Next, let’s look at the Canon Rebel T3 (also know as 1100D)

While the Nikon Digirtal SLR continued to gain in consumer popularity, the Canon T3 was still on the drawing board. The plan: obtain a substantial part from the “cheap DSLR” marketplace.

Canon and Nikon are both targeting beginners and amateur photography enthusiasts that happen to be looking for a DSLR that will not hurt your wallet or involve the sale of a first-born boy or girl.

Seeing this battle unfold is quite entertaining. Just stop by a lot of the web based photography community forums. Possibly even ask for opinions concerning which DSLR camera a first-time photographer should get. The answers can almost be expected, contingent upon where and how you present the query.

The experience is not really unique. Not surprisingly Canon VS Nikon continues to be a constant dialogue since the times of film images. However, since lots more people are doing the digital photography thing, there is a lot more awareness from newcomers in the picture-making pastime. Canon people will provide you with outstanding factors behind getting their treasured manufacturer and the opposite will come within the Nikon group. The dialogue will get utterly unpleasant on occasion, however when you go in with an fair angle, it may be very entertaining.

The group of fans is similar to Red Sox fans. They’re dedicated to their own team, therefore don’t mention anything concerning the team across town or else you will be in for a battle. Are you currently a Mac person or a PC user? You understand, right?

In this instance, both of those DSLR camera models have been upgraded from their elderly siblings. For the Canon side, the model that has been replaced is the Canon Rebel XS (1000D), and indeed, on the Nikon side it’s the D3000. The upgrades with regard to each involve bigger image sensors, much better image quality, plus upgraded capabilities virtually throughout, definitely not the the very least of which is definitely the addition of movie mode in both cameras.

If you were wagering on the outcome of this fight, you would find it difficult to foresee a winner. Both are showing solid in customer satisfaction at the online retailers right now.

For anyone who is thinking about purchasing a camera in the (cheap) entry level DSLR group, you will certainly want to do a comparison of the Rebel T3 vs D3100 with real figures. The Canon VS Nikon dialogue is not going to end with this issue or anytime soon. Relax knowing, should you be on the Canon side or the Nikon side, you can’t go wrong.
