digital photography – The Ideal Of Digital Photography Equiqment
The subject is quite a popular subject, and you will find some information in the article below. This should help you get started on your search for information. I hope you find the article relevant, and that you will share it with others. Do let us know what you think about the article.
Digital photography equipment is just as important this day as the digital cameras that have become the technology of choice for people all over the world. \n
When digital cameras emerged in the marketplace, people were quickly won over, swept up in the excitement of new technology. It didnt take long for the public to become savvy digital picture-takers, drawing on their long-time skills with film. Digital cameras are everywhere now, in cell phones, shop windows and dangling off the wrists of people everywhere, but unfortunately digital photography equipment isn\’t. \n
Digital photography equipment can make everyones digital photography experience better. There are several aids available for consumers that can increase the success and convenience of picture-taking. These vary widely from accessories that can be used while photographing and during the editing process. \n
The first piece of digital photography equipment that any person needs is a digital photography camera. It is also the most important, since without a camera there\’s no photography. Purchase a camera that is well-priced and meets your needs. For instance, if you need a camera for easy picture-taking, purchase a point-and-shoot model. If you\’re interested in photography as a hobby or as a career, you should consider a digital SLR photography camera. \n
Another important part of digital photography is the memory key you\’ll use to store photographs. These can store any number of images depending on the size of the memory. Buy the memory key that\’s ideal for you. For instance, if you travel regularly, you will likely want a huge memory key to capture all your tourist destinations. If the camera is just for snap shots, a smaller memory key will likely suffice. You might also want to take into account having a backup memory key or second memory key in case you fill up the first one or in case of theft or loss. \n
Batteries are also another important piece of digital photography equipment. Alkaline batteries will die swiftly in a digital camera as its functions draw lots of power. Many people prefer to buy nickel metal hydrate or NiMH batteries. These will hold charge much longer and can be recharged easily with a small plug-in model charger. \n
Another piece of digital photography equipment to take into account is a tripod. Whether this is a small tabletop version or a larger one, a tripod can improve many photos. Digital photography can be tricky without a steady hand. Images can appear blurred or distorted. A easy tripod will steady the photographs and the result will be more professional photos. You dont have to be a professional photographer to use a tripod. \n
Something else in the way of digital photography equipment is digital photography software. This can help fix minor problems in some images, including redeye, uninteresting composition and poor focus. It can also allow you to get more creative with the colouring and composition of your images. \n
When purchasing digital photography equipment, always consult family and friends, search on the Internet and visit local retailers. Compare options and prices carefully before making any decisions. The process should be fun and you\’ll ultimately get the equipment you need. Remember, digital photography equipment will help you get the most out of your photographs. \n

Fuji film – FUJIFILM BRINGS ADVANCED FEATURES TO ENTRY-LEVEL DIGITAL CAMERAS
This the subject blog is a prime online resource for everything you need to know about it. There are tutorials that will guide you on the step by step process, and there are articles that provide enriched information for your use. It is amazing how many people have actually learned much from this site. Feel free to browse the site... there is a lot of information waiting!
Valhalla, NY, February 22, 2007 – Entry-level just took on a whole new \r\nmeaning, as FUJIFILM U.S.A. Inc. today announced the launch of the \r\neight-MegaPixel FinePix A820 and nine-MegaPixel FinePix A900. Designed \r\nspecifically for the first-time digital camera buyer and consumers seeking an \r\ninexpensive, easy-to-operate upgrade to their current digital camera, Fujifilm\’s \r\nFinePix A820 and A900 are loaded with features usually reserved for more \r\nadvanced models. Both incorporate Fujifilm\’s signature Super CCD sensor \r\ntechnology, a 4x Optical Zoom lens and feature ISO levels of up to ISO 800.
\r\n\r\nFollowing in the footsteps of Fujifilm\’s more advanced digital cameras, the \r\nFinePix A820 and A900 both shoot with light sensitivities of up to ISO 800 at \r\nfull resolution. These higher light sensitivities enable the user to shoot with \r\nfaster shutter speeds, which lessen the likelihood of blurry pictures caused by \r\na moving subject or the shake of an unsteady hand. To make it easy for consumers \r\nto reach blur-free results, the FinePix A820 and A900 feature a \’Picture \r\nStabilization\’ mode
in the dial setting. This easy-to-identify setting \r\nautomatically chooses the correct light sensitivity and best-matching shutter \r\nspeed, producing the highest quality digital photos without blur and the noise \r\noften associated with high sensitivity photographs.
The FinePix A820 and A900 feature a new, intuitive icon-based Graphic User \r\nInterface (GUI). When users switch shooting modes, scene positions or control \r\nsettings, a brief explanation of the setting is momentarily displayed on the LCD \r\nscreen, taking much of the guess work out of digital camera operation. \r\nAdditionally, both cameras feature a conveniently placed mode dial that provides \r\nsimple access to the most commonly used shooting modes, including Auto, Picture \r\nStabilization and Movie mode and grants 1-touch access to other pre-programmed \r\nscene modes.
\r\nThe FinePix A820 and A900 also feature a \’xD/SD Media Compatible slot\’; a \r\nsingle slot that accepts not only Fujifilm\’s traditional xD-Picture Cards, but \r\nalso SecureDigital (SD) media cards. In offering these media options, Fujifilm \r\nis providing greater choice and flexibility to consumers who purchase Fujifilm \r\ndigital cameras.
\r\nFujifilm\’s new A-Series models also offer the following attractive features: \r\n
\r\n- \r\n
- IrSimple Technology: Demonstrating Fujifilm\’s commitment to innovation, \r\n\’IrSimple\’ enables mobile devices like the FinePix A820 and A900 to \r\ninstantly and wirelessly, connect and transmit digital images to other IrSimple \r\nenabled devices such as other digital cameras, PDAs and photo kiosks. It \r\nprovides a faster, more secure means to share photos with family and friends. \r\n
- Fujinon lens: The FinePix A820 and A900 both feature a 4x optical zoom lens \r\nthat was developed specifically for the A-Series by Fujinon, a Fujifilm sister \r\ncompany and leading provider of broadcast-grade television lenses and other high \r\nquality optical products across many consumer and industrial applications. \r\n
- Internal memory: When their xD-picture card or SD memory card (sold \r\nseparately) is filled with images, users have extra internal storage space on \r\neach camera to capture additional photos. \r\n
- Big LCD: 2.5-inch LCD display with anti-glare properties. \r\n
- Scene modes: A wide range of 16 pre-programmed scene modes provides \r\ntop-quality pics in a range of shooting conditions.
The FinePix A820 and FinePix A900 will debut in Might 2007 with retail prices \r\nof $179.95 and $199.95, respectively.
\r\n\r\nNew A-Series Models Pack a Punch with 8 & 9-MP Super CCDs, 4x Optical Zoom and ISO 800\r\n\r\nAbout Fujifilm
Fujifilm brings continuous innovation and \r\nleading-edge products to a broad spectrum of industries including medical, life \r\nsciences, consumer electronic, chemical, graphic arts, information systems, \r\nphotography and office products based on its vast portfolio of digital, optical, \r\nfine chemical and thin film coating technologies. The company provides products \r\nand services that contribute to the advancement of culture, science, technology \r\nand industry, as well as to improved health and environmental protection. It is \r\nthe global leader in digital minilabs; Computed Radiography systems; ink dyes, \r\npigments and UV inks for inkjet printers and materials used in the production of \r\nflat panel displays. There\’s a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is very true but to get this thousand word picture you need really high quality cameras or digital cameras. While many of us take for granted the presence of digital cameras and the many marvelous things that they have the ability to do we have forgotten the history of digital photography. \n
This history of digital photography is not that long but the events that took place have changed the way that we take our photographs. \n
In 1969 October 17th George Smith and Willard Boyle invented the charge coupled device or the CCD as we know it. This device was originally made for use in computers as a semi-conductor memory. These inventors of the CCD were also thinking about ways to incorporate their device into video phones. \n
With all of their plans and sketches finalized Smith and Boyle finally built the CCD into the worlds first CCD camera. This changed the history of digital photography altogether. \n
The camera that was built by them was a solid say video camera. During 1975 the CCD camera with its image sharp pictures was shown on TV for the first time. The image that was shown was clear enough to be seen by the viewers of TV. \n
In the history of digital photography the first prototype of the digital camera was created by Sony in1981. This digital camera was called Mavica which meant Magnetic Video Camera. The Sony Mavica was essentially a video camera that was used to capture video freeze-frames. \n
In 1986 Kodak scientists invented the first megapixel senor. This senor was capable of recording 1.4 million pixels. These were capable of producing a 5 x 7 inch digital pic quality print. In 1987 Kodak released 7 products that had the capability to manipulate digital images. \n
In 1991 Kodak in partnership with Nikon, released the Nikon F-3 camera. This camera was equipped with a 1.3 megapixel sensor by Kodak. This shows how the history of digital photography merged scientific know-how to produce a digital camera. \n
At about this same time Logitech produced and released their Dycam model with black and white images. Apple produced a digital camera that could transfer images to the computer from the camera. \n
This is the short version of the history of digital photography. This day 30 years after the first digital camera was produced and released digital photography has changed our lives. The next time that you purchase a digital camera you might want to see what other information you can find out about the history of digital photography.

Nikon – Nikon Coolpix L6 Great Deal for the Entry Level Shutterbug
Are you looking for information about the subject? Here in this blog, we will tackle the different aspects, fundamentals and other points of interest about the subject. Many readers and enthusiasts find that this blog is a great place to start if you are new to the subject.
We provide detailed resources like photos, articles, videos and links that may be of good use for those who want to make a more detailed study about it.
Capsule Review: Nikon Coolpix L6 The Nikon Coolpix L6 packs in great features for the low price. Long battery life, simple controls and a bright 2.5\’ LCD screen make this a great camera for the casual shutterbug or as a first digital camera. Nikon promises 1,000 photos on one pair of lithium AA batteries (or 400 on alkalines), and offers easy-shot features like Face Priority, D-lighting and In Camera Red-Eye Protection to appeal to entry level users. Simple to find at less than $150 USD, the Nikon Coolpix L6 gives you the features that most new users want in a digital camera – and truly impressive battery life. \n
Summary The Nikon Coolpix L6 is Nikons latest entry in their line of Coolpix digital cameras. It features low price, long battery life and simple controls that make it easy for anyone to shoot good digital photos. The Coolpix L6 is lightweight, easy to use and perfect for the entry level shutterbug who wants a reliable camera thats easy to use and offers good picture quality. Nikon has aimed the camera squarely at the young and young-at-heart crowd with its advertising, styling and user friendly features that make the Coolpix line popular. \n
Highlighted Features – Long Battery Life By far the most impressive feature of the Coolpix L6 is the record-breaking long battery life. Nikon has partnered with Energizer (yes, the company with the bunny) to research and engineer energy saving features that conserve battery life. Their innovations give this camera a very impressive 1,000 shots per set of AA lithium Energizer batteries – and just to get you started, they include a set of Energizer lithium batteries. With most other cameras in any price range averaging 200-300 shots of battery life, Nikon has good reason to wave the flag about their performance in this area. \n
As the mom who missed the shot of her daughter being handed her sheepskin because I was changing the batteries on my digital camera, this is a feature I truly appreciate. Even with alkaline batteries, youll get about 400 shots out of the Coolpix L6 before you have to change the batteries. \n
Easy Controls Nikon bills the Coolpix L-series of cameras as memories made easy, and the L6 delivers on that promise. The camera does away with complex controls and gives you features that make it easy to take high quality photos with very tiny experience. This is not the camera for the experienced shutterbug who wants total control over each technical aspect – but it doesnt pretend to be. This is the camera for my mom, who has a professional quality digital that she routinely hands to the nearest grandchild at every opportunity because she has no idea how to set the lens speed, adjust the flash or any of the other myriad settings it offers. \n
With the Coolpix L6, you really can just point and shoot. If you want more control, though, there are fifteen scene settings that grant you to select from settings with easy to comprehend names like daylight, low light or portrait. You can select to add fun extras like color effects, \n
Image Correction Features The Nikon Coolpix L6 also offers three in camera innovations that let even inexperienced picture takers eliminate common picture problems. In camera red eye protection automatically corrects the infamous red-eye effect when taking flash pictures. The Face Priority mode will automatically recognize facial features when taking portrait shots and enhance the facial area of subjects so that you dont get out of focus faces. And the D-light detection will automatically correct under and over exposed shots by making a copy of the pic and adding in detail to only the out of balance areas of the photo. \n
Super Cool Coolpix Features The Coolpix L6 also offers two special features that help the amateur pic buff get the most out of a digital camera. The Best Shot Selector will automatically select and save the sharpest image from a series of up to ten photos taken in sequence. And if youve ever ended up with a blurred, out of focus memory of a special moment, youll really appreciate the Blur Warning, which will let you know when a pic youve shot is out of focus so that you can retake the shot before leaving the scene. \n
Image Quality The Nikon Coolpix L6 offers great image quality for even the newest of users. With 6.0 megapixel ability and a 3x Niktor Zoom lens, the L6 gives users the capability to take a wide range of pics from tight close-ups and full panoramic scenery shots. Nikon technology puts high quality digital images within the range of anyone who can point and shoot. \n
Other Coolpix L6 Features – Lightweight and compact, simple to hold and shoot. The L6 is slim and comfortable to hold, with all the controls on the right hand side of the camera, making it possible to take one-handed shots. It weighs in at just 4.4 ounces without the battery or SD memory card. The dimensions (3.6 x 2.4 x 1.0 inches) make the Coolpix L6 a trim pocket-size camera. \n
- Menu available in choice of 20 languages \n
- USB capability to transfer photos to your PC for editing and sending in email. \n
- In camera editing and fun effects let you trim and frame pictures without connecting to the PC \n
- Motion picture mode lets you record at up to 15 frames per second \n
- 23 MB internal memory, supports SD memory card for more storage capability \n
- Built in flash with four modes for best flash selection \n
- 2.5\’ super bright LCD monitor for excellent picture viewing \n
- Slideshow ability for playback of images \n
- Included Nikons Picture Project software for organizing, sharing and editing pictures

digital cameras – Do I need an 8MP digital camera?
The article below about the subject has received a lot of interest, more than any other on our site. We believe it's because it pulls no punches. Yet, while it's an important issue, it's not all doom and gloom, there is another point of view that some find quite unorthodox, but workable.
This article has proven to be very useful to our readers and they come back regularly to keep abreast of the latest developments. While the subject remains an important subject, it's always an added bonus when you can be enlightened, and even amused by being shown the other side of the issue. Some things are not always what they seem. Read on for more insight.
If you are on the market for a new digital camera then there\’s a good chance that you are asking yourself that exact question. Maybe the number of megapixels that you\’re considering is different. Do you really need a 16MP digital camera? 8MP? 6MP? This article tries to help you answering this question. \n
New digital camera models that are put on the market support more and more megapixels. This race for more megapixels is in part driven by manufacturers who want you to buy their newest and greatest digital camera and the easiest way for them to make you compare cameras is by using one easy number – megapixels – the higher the superior or at least this is what they want you to think. \n
But reality is different. When it comes to megapixels more is not necessarily better. Since most of us have a limited budget that we\’re willing to spend on a digital camera spending more money to get more megapixels means spending less on other features or accessories – such as storage and lenses. The overall quality of your photography experience is dependent on such extra features. \n
When deciding on the number of megapixels that you need you should first think about what your expected usage is. You need more megapixels if you plan to print pics (especially massive enlargements) or if you need to zoom in and grab fine details out of large digital photos. On the other hand – you don\’t need much if you plan to watch your digital pics on your computer screen and occasionally print a few 4X6 prints. In fact 2 megapixels are more than enough for such usage. Think about your computer screen resolution which is in most cases 1024X768 – even when viewing your digital photos in full screen mode you\’re only really watching 1024X768 < 1 megapixels. A 2 megapixels 4X6 pic print has a DPI higher than 300 which is more than enough for a good quality print. If you plan to print enlargements consider the following table for the recommended number of megapixels for different print sizes (based on print quality of about 300 DPI): \n
page 4X6 2MP \n
page 5X7 3MP \n
page 8X10 7MP \n
page 11X14 14MP \n
page 16X20 28MP \n
page 20X30 54MP \n
When considering spending more of your digital camera budget on getting more megapixels you should ask yourself questions like: should I instead get superior lenses? Should I instead get an external flash unit? Should I instead get extra storage media? \n
Dont be a victim of the megapixels race. In many ways the race for more megapixels is similar to the race for more megahertz on personal computers. In early days when computers speeds were slow – more megahertz was important. Today though – having a 4Ghz or 5Ghz computer does not make a difference and you are better off spending more money on more memory than more megahertz. The same is true with megapixels – in early digital cameras days the number of megapixels was low and it was important to get more. This day with most cameras having a high number of megapixels it is probably wiser to get superior lenses or more storage than upgrading from 8MP to 10MP. \n

sony camera – Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 Digital Camera Review
Thanks for visiting our the subject website. You will find the latest information, discussions about the pros and cons of each aspect, and also, a large community of readers who regularly share their ideas and opinions on the latest developments. It is as important now as it ever was to examine the issue carefully. After all, without the facts, how can we know we are making the right choice?
We recently came across the article below and we have posted it on our site because it addresses some of the unanswered questions and raises some new ones at the same time. If you like what you see here, be sure to come back and, let your friends know.
Are you looking for a good point-and-shoot digital camera? If you are, one camera to consider is the Sony Cybershot DSC-W1. This little compact camera is currently flying off the shelves. With good optics and a massive 2.5 inch LCD screen, in addition to great looking photos, the DSC-W1 is one of the more popular cameras around.
Design and Construction
The Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 is one stylish looking camera. A direct competitor to the Canon PowerShot S500, the DSC-W1 has been constructed to be a compact, travel ready camera that you can use to take quick snaps. Its dimensions are 3.5 inches by inches by 1.25 inches (weight-height-depth) and it weighs only 7.0 ounces.
One aspect of the camera I found especially impressive was the big 2.5 inch LCD screen. Most compact cameras have small LCDs so much so that you have to swift to look at the postage stamp sized images. Well, not in the Sony DSC-W1. The huge screen makes it a joy to do on camera image editing or to show off your photos to friends and family.
Optics and Resolution
The Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 comes with a 5.1 megapixel resolution, as well as 3x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom. There’s a built-in Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens to allow quick focusing in a wide variety of photo environments.
The optics in this camera are also superb. There are comprehensive focusing options available if you’re more adventurous and want to play around with advanced manual camera options.
If you want to customize the camera to take photos at night, for example, you can change the shutter speed or play with the size of the aperture quite easily. If you need to take a quick shot in the middle of a vacation, you can switch back to auto focus and exposure so that the camera does everything for you. In short, the Sony DSC-W1 has features which give you extreme flexibility in taking pics.
User Controls
The user controls in the Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 are found next to the LCD and on a mode dial at the top surface of the camera. I found the controls easy to use. Whether you want to zoom in on an image, or change to a different scene mode or focus setting, the controls are always within easy reach.
Movie Mode
I also like the availability of a motion picture mode in the DSC-W1. You know, sometimes when you’re out in the park or on a vacation, you get those moments when you know a video will be more appropriate instead of a pic. That’s where the motion picture mode is useful. You can capture video at 30 frames per second (fps) at VGA size 640 x 480 – that roughly translates to 90 seconds of video on the included 32 MB memory card.
Direct Printing
As with many new digital cameras, the Sony DSC-W1 supports PictBridge direct printing. This is tremendously useful if you want to quickly print out pics without having to import them to a computer first. Of course, you will need a printer that is PictBridge compatible as well – the Canon Pixma iP4000 is my personal choice.
Storage and Transfer
The Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 comes with a 32MB Sony Memory Stick – which is hardly enough for serious photo taking, since each image is potentially 5MB in size. I’d recommend getting at least a 128MB Memory Stick to complement the camera. In terms of image transfer, the camera supports USB 2.0 ports. This means that you’ll experience lightning transfer of data between the camera and your personal.
Battery Life
One thing I love about the Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 is the battery system. The camera supports standard AA batteries like those from Energizer. This is pretty rare in digital cameras – most cameras need to use a proprietary battery. The ability to support AA batteries is great because you need not worry about the batteries running out – AA batteries are easily found in any convenience store.
Shortcomings
There are some quirks I noticed in the Sony DSC-W1. Though not serious problems, they did serve to mar my experience with this camera somewhat. What are these quirks? They include:
* Lack of a panorama-assist mode
* Lock of white-balance calibration options
* No way to adjust the camera\’s automatic power-down time.
* Lack of a good photo editor in the bundled software
Conclusion
I do hope this review of the Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 has been of help to you. If you’re looking for a good travel camera to take fun shots with, this Sony model is tough to beat. I personally own a Canon PowerShot S500, but I’d also advocate this Sony because many of my friends have been raving about it.\n\nGary Hendricks\nGary Hendricks runs a hobby site at www.basic-digital-photography.com. Olympus Digital cameras offer a great variety of different zoom, lenses and mega pixels. Whether amateur or professional you will appreciate the Olympus camera. I\’ve a FE-100 with 4.0 mega pixels and zoom of 8.2-17.4mm1-3.0.5.0 and have taken many pictures with it. It has a memory card I purchased for it and it takes more photos than I\’ve ever used at one trip. We went Elk hunting this year and I took 107 photos of our camp, the mountains, a bull moose with a cow and a calf, many deer and some massive horn sheep. I took scenery picture while were on the move and they looked good. My Grandchildren borrowed the camera and took it snow boarding and took some great aerial pictures of them doing jumps and tricks on there snow boards. I was real surprised that they came out so good. Full and Color and you felt like you were right in the action if you closed your eyes and thought about it.
\nI came home downloaded them onto my Personal and e-mailed them to all my family and friends. They thought they were the best pictures I’ve ever taken. So this camera offers more than an amateur could use but can use. It\’s a great camera for anyone who wants a good digital camera, whether for allot of features or just a few, Olympus offers a good variety. If you get a Olympus camera, I would advocate buying the memory card for it also, as it give you allot of photos you wouldn\’t get to take without it.
\nDepending on what size and features you\’re looking for. There are many styles and sizes to select from. The Olympus Sp700-6.0 mega pixels Digital Camera with 3x zoom & 3.0 LCD Screen, the Olympus American Stylus 500+P-10 Digital Photo Printer, the 4.0 MP Digital Camera with 1.8” Color LCD Screen and 3x optical zoom,12x total zoom ability, and the Olympus 225600 Camera Ir-300 5.0Mp 3x Optical Zoom Digital Camera Olympus c-7000 Zoom Digital Camera.

digital video – How To Shoot Good Digital Video With Your Camcorder
Have you just acquired the subject but are unsure how to get the best use out of it? Do you want one but don't know if it would be the right thing for you?
Have a look at the article below. We are sure it will point you in the right direction. Based on our feedback so far, it has helped hundreds of our readers. While you are here, have a look at some of the other articles as they, too, are filled with advice and tips on how to avoid the common mistakes.
Let me tell you from experience how important it is to know how to shoot good digital video with your camcorder before going on that vacation or filming that large event. When I was getting married my sister offered to film the happy day for me with her new camcorder, I agreed as it would save money on the wedding as a videographer could get quite pricey.
\nLet me tell you how wrong I was, the digital video was dark, shaky and blurred anytime she went into zoom or moved around the room. The sound was off and muffled and it was more of a headache to watch rather than a joy. In a nutshell, I wish I spent money on a good digital video shooting.
\nI don’t want people to make the same mistake that I did so to spread the word on my learning experience I would like to pass on some great tips on how to shoot good digital video with your Minidv camcorder.
\nTip #1 – Don\’t record while walking or moving about as the digital camcorder can\’t stay focused on a moving object. Choose a place to stand and start by recording a starting point for a few seconds before moving onto the next object. Slowly and carefully pan the camcorder to the next point of focus and hold there for a few more seconds before you stop shooting.
\nTip #2 – Avoid excessive zooming of objects, not only does it kill the camcorder battery faster, it can give the viewers a crazy headache. If there were a moment you’d like to catch up close, stand still and take your time while zooming and shooting video, also try to avoid any quick motions, as the image will blur.
\nTip #3 – Make sure that the lighting around you is bright enough and do not point the camcorder lens directly facing sunlight, not only can this damage the video camera lens, it will also blacken the images making for an unpleasant motion picture. If you plan to be indoors, I recommend you invest in a camcorder light attachment that can easily be put onto the video camera and turned on if needed.
\nTip #4 – Last but not least, my favorite camcorder accessory by far has to be a Tripod. You can buy a cheap little mini table tripod for simple videos or you can invest in a more massive stand up tripod for longer shooting of video. By using a tripod when recording, you can be assured that your images won\’t be shaky nor will the motion picture look amateur.

digital – Great Digital Photos in Three Easy Steps
If you would like to know more about the subject - then you will want to read this article. It includes plenty of information about this subject that is sure to help you better understand the ins and outs that seem to confuse most people. It really does not have to be difficult to understand.
The information that follows is one way to look at this information, and after reading the article you are free to form your own opinion. Whether or not you agree with the subject matter is up to you, and you are certainly free to make up your own mind about the material presented here.
Are you disappointed with the results of your new digital camera? Did you pay extra to get the latest giga pixel camera with all the bells and whistles? And yet, your digital prints do not look like you expected? Do your prints lack detail? Is the subject all white or over exposed? Do you feel like getting your old 35mm film camera back out? Here is a few tips and tricks that might help improve the quality of your digital prints.
\nLet\’s begin by trying to get those digital photos as sharp as possible. First, make sure that your camera is set to the highest resolution and quality setting. Once you have done this, forget that your camera has the ability to choose a lower quality setting. Your images might look nice and the preview screen on the back of the camera, but you will find it is much different when you try to make a digital print. This will also ensure that when you take that once-in-a-lifetime photo you\’ve plenty of resolution to blow it up. Another setting that affects the amount of detail image is ISO. A lower ISO setting will have less noise and look much better. Some cameras automatically adjust the ISO for you depending on the lighting situation.
\nNext make sure that you are not too close to your subject. While many digital cameras can focus and extremely close distances, they can\’t handle flash as close. For most point-and-shoot cameras the minimum distance for the flash is 3 to 4 feet. You will want to check your camera manual to be sure what the minimum distance is. Any closer than this, and the flash will provide too much light on the subject. This will over exposed subject, causing it to be white and ghostly. It is very difficult or impossible to mend an over exposed digital image. Also remember that flash also has a maximum range. For many digital point-and-shoot cameras this is around 12 feet. Much farther and the flash will not provide enough light for a good exposure. The ISO setting on the camera also affects the flash range.
\nFinally let\’s look at the way you hold your camera and compose the picture. Believe it or not, there is a right way and a wrong way to hold your camera. You need to make sure that you can hold the camera as steady as possible. This usually means bracing your arm against your chest and not holding the camera at arms length. There\’s most likely a picture or drawing in your camera manual on the correct way to hold the camera. Also, as you compose your picture, make sure there are no objects between you and your subject. If you\’re using flash, you camera may try to adjust the exposure for the object in the foreground and not your subject. Always try to simplify your composition. Try to make it clear to anyone viewing the image what the subject is. In a word, simplify.
\nOne last suggestion. Get a good quality digital print made from your favorite images. I recommend either local camera store that does in-house printing, or one of the on the internet digital printers. I think you will be much more satisfied with some of the better-known on the web digital print services instead of the local drugstore. Also, getting a good quality digital print made online is usually cheaper than trying to print digital photos yourself, and the results are usually superior.

digital photography – Some Insights on Digital Nature And Macro Photography
Welcome to our site. Here, you will find everything you need to know about the subject, without the hype.
You are joining thousands of other readers who visit our site on a regular basis. That is because we work hard to give you the information you need without all the fluff. This is the place to come for quality.
The article below is the latest addition to our site and it is a real education to read. We hope to sparks some ideas for you.
It is essential to understand macro photography first before talking about its \r\ndigital side of production. Macro photography is close-up shots of small things, \r\nwhere doing it means using the right camera and lens.
Digital macro photography is the same except the system is different. Again, photographywill more or less involve computers in working with post product of the image.
Digital macro photography is an interesting specialization in photography because of the challenges at stake. It is might add more expense in terms of updating to the most recent products technology can offer. While eyes can\’t still stretch to perceive and see detail of minute things, digital macro photography can make the merry wondering into reality. \r\n
If you\’re an avid fan of Discovery Channel or National Geographic, most of their documentary films indulge in macro photography whenever they shoot insects and small animals burrowing underneath the ground holes, and all other \r\ncreatures nearly unseen to the naked eye. Without macro photography, this world will only be associated with what our eyes can see. There\’s no way we may experience and grasp the texture of any insects\’ hairy legs or underwater \r\ncreature\’s slimy skin.
The promise of full detail is the major work in digital macro photography. Currently, the answer to this promise is dependent on the resolution of the digital camera you\’re investing on. Lens, particularly \r\nfor close-up called \’diopter\’ must come along with the buy, and basically it is a necessary requirement.
The next is the application of effective and proper lighting to get the most of the photography detail. A crisp image \r\ngoes with the essential qualifications your digital camera can give.
To achieve a professional looking digital macro photography, the following points will help:
1. You must have skill in photography including the use of \r\nlenses, filters, lighting and related accessories.
2. For macro photography, you must shoot the subject as close as possible as the effective working distance. This is all about the right distance without disturbing the subject, if in case you\’re shooting small insects.
3. Trial and error practice with depth of field can be reached by using manual lens setting until the image is sharp.
4. Use the smallest aperture and fill flash, taken in a bright day. Flash must either be indirect or diffused with reflectors for better results.
The sunrise or sunset out in the countryside is immeasurable than it is seen in the city. Maybe it\’s the mountains or the trees that make the difference and people who want to capture the moment should have a digital camera along so a picture can be taken.
Here are some tips to be able to take those great pictures in the wild.
1. The digital camera comes with a zoom lens. If the person sees a deer or some other animal, it is ideal to use this feature because going too close can scare the creature away and \r\nthe perfect shot.
2. Still shots are great but this could be better when the person is able to get multiple shots of the animals when it is moving. This can be done by catching it on video or snapping it fast especially if the unit \r\ncomes with a fast shutter speed.
3. Hunting takes a bit of patience before the person is able to shoot at a target. The same thing is done when taking a picture so the individual must find a nice spot, remain hidden and just \r\nwait for animal to pass by.
4. The person must never use flash when taking pictures of the animals. This will startle it and make it run away enabling the individual to only have one shot making it impossible to do again. \r\n
5. Some people think that giving the animal food to get a better shot is a good idea. This should never be done because these creatures might attack. The person might have seen this on TV captured on an amateur video at the zoo, which could be much worse, should this happen in the wild.
Shooting the animal with a digital camera can happen if the proper steps are taken. This includes doing it at different angles, doing it quietly, exercising patience and \r\nwithout flash.
Any digital camera will work to get this done. Those who want to purchase a high tech free version are free to do so.
The person will have to practice often to get the hang of things to make this hobby into an art \r\nform. After all, it is only through practice and experience that lectures on photography especially about nature can be mastered.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

digital pics – Want to Sell Your Digital Pics?
Do you want to be updated with the latest news about the subject? Do you want to be the first in line about the developments on the subject? Are you itching to get up to the minute information?
This blog will have the information that you need that is fresh from the source! You can subscribe to our feeds or you can join the mailing list, so you can make sure that you are in with the times, and ahead of everyone!
The explosive growth of the Internet \nhas spawned many new markets. One such market is the digital \npic \nmarket. The growth of online stock photography sites (also known as microstock \nphotography sites) where photographers can submit their digital pics so that \nothers may view and download them for a fee, has created an unprecedented demand \nfor digital \nphotographs.
This \nof course has created a wonderful opportunity for amateur photographers to sell \ntheir digital pics in a market that was previously only open to \nprofessionals.
The opportunity immediately throws up two questions: who \ndo I go about selling my digital pics and what types of images do people purchase. \nThis article will answer the first question.
When it comes to selling \nyour photos there is only one basic law that has to be obeyed: Find out where \nyour clients are currently buying their photos and make yourself visible \nthere!
Two of the most immediate avenues available to you are:
1. \nTo sell your digital pics are to sell directly to a stock image warehouse or \nlist your photos with them for public sale and have royalties paid to you on a \nper sale basis and
2. Use eBay or other auction methods
Both of these \nare in effect huge market places that buyers looking for digital \nimages \nalready swarm to. You simply need to be one of the sellers presenting your wares \nat the market place.
Auction sites such as eBay host a multitude of \nphotographs that are for sale. Go there and see what types of images are selling \nand this will give you a good indicator as to what types of shots you should be \ntakin. Certainly the ideal selling images on eBay are antique shots These are not \nnecessarily simple to create but you will find that very special celebrity shots, one-of-a-kind \npics of sporting events, nature shots and weird pics are all hot sellers on \neBay
Other approaches you can take, although a tiny more specialised \nare to:
3. Sell to clients or the public directly on a contract basis \ncalled an assignment and
4. Sell unsolicited shots to magazines and other \npublishers
There is also the chance to sell your images yourself \neither on the web using \nsoftware \ndesigned specifically for the task or by creating your own custom site and html \ncode \nto protect your images.
It is important to note that you can really carve \nout a solid niche for yourself by selling pics in areas that other \nphotographers shy away from because they don\’t think about the work to be artistic \nenough.
Some examples of people who are willing to pay to have simple \nclick and shoot shots taken may include:
Real Estate \nAgencies
Insurance Firms
Automobile Lots
Auction Sites
Government and \nPolice Agencies
Individual with items to sell on the web
Website \ndesigners
Travel Agents
Most of the images required by these types of \norganisations are quite basic (real point and click stuff) and are therefore \nideally suited to the newbie photographer.\n\n\n\n

panasonic – PANASONIC ADDS OPTICAL IMAGE STABILIZER, MORE PIXELS TO ENTRY- LEVEL CAMCORDERS
Top-of-the-Line MiniDV/SD Card Model Has 3CCD Imaging System, Leica Dicomar Lens For Under $500\n\n \n\nSECAUCUS, NJ, January 8, 2007 – Panasonic today announced three new value-priced digital camcorders using MiniDV tape and SD Memory Card1 storage media and boasting such advanced features as Panasonic\’s Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.), newly developed lenses2 for extended-width 16:9 shooting, 3.1 megapixel still-picture recording3, shutter speeds up to 1/8000th of a second, one-touch navigation and joystick control, and 2.7-inch wide LCD.\n\n \n\nAt the top of the line, the $499.95 (MSP) PV-GS320 combines a Leica Dicomar lens and a virtually light-loss-free 3CCD imaging system to produce better detail rendition, greater color accuracy, and enhanced depth. \n\n\’The massive story here\’s extending the benefits of Panasonic\’s advanced Optical Image Stabilizer technology to customers shopping for camcorders in the entry-level market segment,\’ said Rudy Vitti, Panasonic\’s national marketing manager for camcorders. \’O.I.S. eliminates the deterioration and unnatural artifacts common with electronic stabilization systems by canceling hand-shake effects before the image reaches the CCD. With it, we have managed to increase the zoom range of several of our models to 32x while obtaining smoother, more stable images than ever before.\’\n\n \n\nVitti also noted that the O.I.S. system is fully functional in still-image as well as video mode. \’Our O.I.S. secures and stabilizes a 960480-pixel rectangle for true wide-screen shooting. \’This ensures that movies taken on even our entry level models will be sharper and steadier than those of other camcorders in this class, particularly when viewed on a big-screen HDTV.\’ \n\n \n\nOther key features of all three new models include 2.7-inch wide LCD viewfinders for simple 16:9 image composition, improved one-touch menu navigation and joystick controls for intuitive one-hand operation, and high-speed (1/8000 max.) shutters.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nModel\n Features\n Availability\n SRP*\n \nPV-GS320\n 3CCD imaging system, optical image stabilizer, Leica Dicomar lens, 3.1 megapixel still picture recording onto SD Card, 10x optical zoom, 2.7\’ wide LCD, one-touch navigation and joystick control, high-speed shutter (1/60-1/8000, tape mode; 1/30-1/2000, card mode), Motion DV Studio and Quick Movie Magic software applications\n February 2007\n $499.95\n \nPV-GS85\n Optical image stabilization, 32x optical zoom, still-picture recording onto SD Card, 2.7\’ wide color LCD, one-touch navigation and joystick control, high-speed shutter (1/60-1/8000, tape mode; 1/60-1/500, card mode), LED Light.\n February 2007\n $349.95\n \nPV-GS80\n Optical image stabilizer, 32x optical zoom, 2.7\’ wide LCD, one-touch navigation and joystick control, high-speed shutter (1/60-1/8000) \n February 2007\n $299.95\n \n\n \n\nAbout Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company\n\nBased in Secaucus, N.J., Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company is a Division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, the principal North American subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.
